New art has been added to my collection lately. This one I still need to frame, but I really love the colors, so I wanted to show the piece before.
You may know, I love the abstract artist Michelle Armas. Right now I cannot afford some of her pricer collections.... ahem.... $2,000. But I can still buy some of her smaller print pieces. I got this one for Christmas, and can't wait to frame it.
I left the antique mall without getting this nautical piece. Then after slapping myself in the face I went back the next day to buy it. I had no place for it, but I still needed it. Sure enough the next week, it became the PERFECT piece I used in a room for staging.
When the house sells, I can't wait to have the art back. I have now found the perfect place.
I thought about re-matting the light blue, but ended up loving the fretwork done on the mat and now I'm going to keep it. For now that is...
Have you ever bought a piece of art, not knowing where it will go in the house? If you love it, buy it. It will find a place.
