Back in the day...

Do you ever look back on your work, and say "Wow... we've come a long way baby." I ran across a photo of my house in college... and our design... well let's just say we are improving. This made me laugh.

Go ahead, I know you want to pin this ;)

Now, to the defensive of me and best friend/roommate, this room was pretty rockin for our age/talent. Since living in the sorority house for all of college with bunk beds and already decided (ahem... hideous wallpaper) decor, this was a first chance to make our own room. I have to say at least our color palette was hot.

And, look who knew how to hang drapes at the correct height even back then? I had a future in front of me, I just didn't know it ;)

In other news, I will be guest posting over at Second Street East this afternoon for Hump Day Happy Hour with my favorite cocktail! Here's a tiny sneak peak.

While that room might be a bit much- the color combo is fab and it really might be one of the best 'college' rooms I've seen!

I always painted/decorated my college dorm rooms. It took till senior year to come up with a color/design scheme that I don't look back on and cringe :)

Haha! I love this post. I definitely look back at pictures from my own first apartment and cringe. I thought it was SO stylish back then. In your defense, I don't think yours is TOO bad. But you're right- we've come along way. I loved your post on Michelle's blog, too!

Love the decor, ha! My first house in college was WAYYY worse because we just threw together everything we had - none of which matched. Plus those houses were always so gross compared to non college houses!

ha! I love your college house! Ours was more of a mish mash of whatever we could find. At least you gals matched and had some sort of color going on! I give you many kudos!
