House Hunters: Ina's Kitchen

Today we are in the kitchen with Barefoot Contessa's Ina Garten. As you see on her cooking shows, she has a beautiful and serene kitchen with white and gray. House beautiful just did a piece on her top kitchen tips. I just wanted to admire the photos, and thought you would too.

Love all the white going on here. Very clean.
Ok, you have to do lots of cutting and chopping to have this... but what a great storage solution. Those things never fit in the cabinets.
Love these large blooms on the island! What a great look with the dark gray counters.
Panty organization, I would love to have something like this!
Since I can't keep a pot of rosemary alive outside... maybe I should try a little potted herb inside!
I do use this idea... a nice white pot to keep all of my spatulas and spoons in. Now, mine don't match like all of these here, but same idea.

Top Beauty Products...

I am a total product junkie. Before I try out a new product I read blogger reviews, watch beauty guru videos, and plan out my next purchase. My husband thinks I'm obsessed, I think I'm just exercising my right as a girl. Here are my top beauty products I use on a daily basis every day... for right now.
From left to right:
Elf High Definition Powder: Use this last as a finishing powder. It makes your skin look flawless I tell ya... and it comes at the high price of I think $3. Get at Target or online.
Beauty Blender: This little pink sponge has changed my face routine, just like the gurus said it would. All you have to do is wet the sponge and it makes your foundation look like it's airbrushed on. You can buy at Sephora, or on Birchbox, and get points!
Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Eye Corrector: Drugstore concealer, amazing texture. It's swirled with wrinkle reducer and makes the concealer so soft. Brightens up the eyes like no other. Buy at the drugstore or Ulta.
NYC Bronzer in Sunny: The beauty bloggers swear this is an exact dupe for Nars bronzer. I love it, and instead of Nars price, it's only around $6. Buy at the drugstore.

Two kinds of foundation one high-end, one drugstore:
Super Stay Maybeline Foundation: Love this for an everyday foundation. With the beauty blender, it goes on flawless with really good coverage. Lasts all day and doesn't get oily. Buy at Ulta/drugstore.
Makeup Forever Mat Velvet +: I wasn't really a foundation wearer until I tried this. The beauty bloggers raved about the texture of this, and they are right. It's mat, it's beautiful, it's pricey. Only on special days.
Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner: I got this in my Birchbox one day, and have loved it ever since. I will be repurchasing when it runs out for sure. Perfect smooth line, great staying power. Buy here at Birchbox.
Elf Blush in Tickle: Another dupe for Nars blush... and a beautiful shade it is. Such a great color for summer. Be careful not to by Twinkle instead of Tickle... it's loaded with shimmer. Unless that's your think. Buy at Target or Online.
Benefit They're Real Mascara: Makes it look like you have falsies on. Cons: the brush kinda hurts, but beauty is pain people. Buy online or at Sephora/Ulta.
NYX Eyeshadow Palette Caribbean Collection: A great little palette for an everyday light brown eye look. Buy at Ulta or online.
Benefit POREfessional: Got this one in my birchbox as well, and it's a great makeup primer. Makes everything mat. Loves it. Buy here.

That's all right now! Remember... this all changes as soon as I find a new product to love. If you all like this, I'll do favorite hair products next!

Little miss...Georgia

I can't wait to meet the little girl that will fill these shoes. What will she be like? Will she be more of a peep-toe girl, or more into Tory Burch flats? Whatever she chooses, I will love.

The good news is: We have decided on a name for this little one! Introducing Miss Georgia Bales Johnson, which will turn into GiGi most of the time.

I just can't wait to meet her, and kiss these little footsies.

Easter @ the Cabin

This year we had Easter weekend at the Cabin. My in-laws just renovated an old cabin that's been in the family for years. This place to Bo is Vegas. He can run for acres, eat as many sticks as he wants, and was swimming in the plake (pond/lake) within two-minutes of arriving.

Here we made him climb up on an old waterfall... he looks like he's starring in "The Lion King". Just lioness-ing around.
After a quick drive around the property we ran into some nice cows. I don't think they know what a camera is.
And, ended the day exploring over brooks and streams. A great place to pretend you are in the Hunger Games. Peeeta! I hope everyone had a wonderful and glorious Easter.
He is risen, He is risen indeed!
