Coffee Table Tuesday

My coffee table changes it's decor almost weekly... you know me, I am constantly changing up the decor even in my own house.

Since I'm a house stager, I told my husband last week that I feel like I'm a "foster parent of home decor." It's very true, things may come and go, but while they are here I will enjoy them... and find a bright future for them in someone else's house.... until it sells, then back to me.

Here's my coffee table this week and what's on it. I will start featuring Coffee Table Tuesday, sometimes mine... sometimes guests... some as inspiration... we will just see.

Three stacks of books is the theme of it right now. My living room is mostly Navy and white, so adding a pop of orange is fun and the perfect complimentary color.
Sitting on top of my *Design Sponge at Home book is a blue and white vase given to us a wedding present.
Up on top of my Mary McDonald book is my blue agate stone and a volcano candle of course.
And holding down the Style and Substance "Best of Elle Decor" book is a vintage wicker flask from my mother, and cute Kate Spade coasters that have different sayings like "Take a chance, Raise a glass", given as a hostess gift from my good friend Erin.
My favorite book? Mary McDonald for sure. She's my all-time favorite designer, and I look up to her as a wonderful example of what I hope to become one day.

Um... you cannot see my coffee table at the moment due to end of the year school papers, but yours is amazing. I think I need that flask, LOL ;)
