La Swoon

I'm currently swooning over these art prints from the Keep Calm Gallery in the United Kingdom. Good news is, they ship overseas! Can I get a whoop whoop?! And they are affordable... double whoop.

I love this collection. I would love to do a bedroom in these colors too. Inspiration photo...
This fills my current obsession with black. I don't know what my deal is. I really like this one.

This would be so cute in a little boy nursery. I currently know a lot of people having boys.... :) I really like when a nursery has more of a grown up feel rather than "disney baby".
I need this for my office. Best part about it is the title "Ride Above It". I think I will.
 And, one for your kitchen.

I am now an art-teist...

This summer I took an art class, and got inspired to create. I create pieces that are original, and now love finding the perfect mix of hues to create a statement in decor. I like figuring out other pieces that would go along with the paintings as well. Here are some of my recent creations! Canvases can only be delivered in the Wichita area, but prints can be mailed all over.

"Orange Coral"
Original acrylic painting on linen paper
8 x 10

"Strikes out"

"Bleeding Heart"
Original acrylic on canvas

This one I titled "Minnows" It started like this... and I wasn't satisfied.

It was pretty and I loved the blues, greens and grays, but it was too perfect for abstract. So I did this...

And now I am very happy with it!

What do you think? I'm a new art-tiest, I can take the constructive feedback.

Like a sack of flour...

Do you remember this flour sack I got a while back? My good friend Sasha found this vintage flour sack and we new it would be perfect framed in the kitchen.

So I got it framed, and wha-la! Isn't she grand?

I added some of my blue willow plates from my mother and a few others I have found over the years and my collection is complete. The one on the top we actually found while shopping in the 'town' on our honeymoon in Jamaica!

Have a great Friday!
